A charge starting with LEMSQZY* on your statement

LEMSQZY* is Lemon Squeezy, a company that sells software, subscriptions and digital products on behalf of many small online shops. The word after the asterisk is the shop you bought from, cut short. You can find every Lemon Squeezy order made with your email at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders, and cancel a subscription there.¹³

What it looks like on a real statement

Lemon Squeezy tells shops their customers "will see LEMSQZY*STORE charge on their bank statement", where STORE is the shop’s own store id.² The name gets cut off. One shop warns its customers that its charge can read LEMSQZY* SIMPLE-H or LEMSQZY* SIMPLE-HI.⁷ These are lines from card statements that public bodies have published:

The shop name is squeezed into a few letters: IMAGE-TO-FRAM is a shop whose name starts "Image to Fram…". Search for the start of the word.

How to find the order and cancel it

1. Search your email for "Lemon Squeezy" and the amount Lemon Squeezy tells buyers to look for their email receipt.¹ Search every address you use, including spam, for Lemon Squeezy, the shop name after LEMSQZY*, and the amount (for example 12.00).
2. Look it up on My Orders Go to app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders. Lemon Squeezy says it is one account for "all their orders from any Lemon Squeezy-powered store", and you only need the email you used at checkout. It sends you a sign-in link by email.³ If nothing shows up, try your other email addresses.
3. Cancel the subscription there Lemon Squeezy’s own answer: "subscriptions can be cancelled at any time", and you can cancel them through My Orders.¹ Its buyer terms add a timing rule: cancel "at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period", and there are no refunds for the unused part of a period.⁴ So do it now, not on the day it renews. Then check your next statement to make sure it stopped.
4. Ask the shop for a refund "Refunds are handled by the original merchant that you purchased your item from." Contact the shop using your email receipt. If that goes nowhere, Lemon Squeezy says you can contact it directly.¹ Ask in writing and keep the replies. The buyer terms say refunds are at Lemon Squeezy’s "sole discretion" and "may be refused".⁴
5. If you cannot find the order, or it will not stop, go to your bank Tell your card issuer you want to dispute the charge. Bring the statement line exactly as printed, every date and amount, and what you already tried. Ask what its deadline is for disputes. It depends on your bank, the card network and the reason, and missing it can end your options.

What the buyer terms say about disputing with your bank

Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms say you will get a refund in some cases: "if you do not get the product you paid for", if you were charged the wrong amount or twice by mistake, or "if the payment was made fraudulently".⁴ The same terms ask you to contact Lemon Squeezy before you dispute a charge with your bank. For a chargeback it decides was "without merit or legitimate reason", they reserve the right to block you from buying again or to charge "a liquidated damage in the amount of $100 USD".⁴ We are not lawyers and cannot tell you whether that clause would hold up where you live. Contacting them first costs you little, and gives you a written record to show your bank. If nobody you know made the purchase, tell your bank that. That is a fraud report, not a disagreement with a shop.

Is Lemon Squeezy legit?

It is a real company. Its terms now name the seller as "Sold through Link, LLC f/k/a Lemon Squeezy LLC", in Salt Lake City, Utah.⁵ Stripe bought Lemon Squeezy in 2024. In April 2026 its co-founder wrote that the work with Stripe had meant "slower support responses" for the Lemon Squeezy community, and that the goal is to give its users "an easy way to migrate to Stripe Managed Payments".⁶ So if support is slow, you are not imagining it. Do not wait on it past your bank’s deadline.

A LEMSQZY* charge is usually a real purchase: a trial that turned into a subscription, a yearly renewal, or something another person in your household bought on your card. If you are sure nobody you know bought anything, treat it as unauthorized and call your bank.
