A charge from CCI*CONSTANT-CONTACT or EIG*CONSTANTCONTACT.COM on your statement

CCI*CONSTANT-CONTACT, EIG*CONSTANTCONTACT.COM and the older CTC*CONSTANTCONTACT.COM are Constant Contact, an email newsletter and marketing service. The full line usually ends in 855-2295506 MA or WALTHAM MA; 855-229-5506 is the number Constant Contact gives for its Billing Support team.26 A plan is charged in advance, every month or every 6 or 12 months, and renews by itself.34 Whoever sends the newsletter for a business, school, church or club you belong to may have put it on your card.

The short answer

Search your email for a Constant Contact invoice and ask whoever sends your group’s newsletter. To stop the charges, call Billing Support at 855-229-5506 (from the US or Canada) before the next billing date; the account then closes on that date.2 Its terms say prepaid and unused fees are not refunded, and that any dispute about a charge must reach it in writing within 60 days.4 If nobody you know has an account, go to your bank.

What it looks like on a real statement

The State of Delaware publishes every purchase its employees make on state cards, with the merchant name as the bank received it. When we counted on 13 October 2026, 1,452 lines had a merchant name containing CONSTANT and CONTACT, from 27 June 2014 to 22 September 2026, from 64 state offices and schools.5 The name changed twice:

Constant Contact lines in Delaware’s card data, 2014–2026
What the statement said Lines When
CTC*CONSTANTCONTACT.COM 347 27 June 2014 to 6 June 2018, from 34 offices. Amounts from $3 to $4,151
EIG*CONSTANTCONTACT.COM 985 12 June 2018 to 26 August 2025, from 40 offices. Amounts from $6.13 to $9,231
CCI*EIG*CONSTANTCONTACT.C 1 30 July 2025, $320, cut off at 25 characters
CCI*CONSTANT-CONTACT 110 29 August 2025 to 22 September 2026, still in use, from 23 offices. Amounts from $11.40 to $6,480
WPY*CONSTANT CONTACT EVEN 7 10 October 2014 to 13 April 2015. The data does not say what these were
CONSTANT CONTACT INC., CONSTANT CONTACT 2 22 July 2014 ($199) and 20 February 2026 ($100.80)

Delaware’s data keeps only the name. Five other public card statements show the whole line as the bank printed it. The phone number is the same under all three names:

The name changed, and Constant Contact’s own page did not

Constant Contact had a help article titled "Constant Contact Billing Prefix". Its last version, dated 11 June 2025, said that "beginning mid-2018" a charge "appears as EIG*ConstantContact.com [phone number]", EIG being Endurance International Group, and that before that it appeared as "CTC*ConstantContact.com [phone number]".1 The Delaware data matches: the last CTC* line is dated 6 June 2018 and the first EIG* line 12 June 2018.5

The article never mentioned CCI*. It still said EIG* in a copy saved on 12 June 2026, ten months after the cards in Delaware had switched to CCI*CONSTANT-CONTACT.1 When we opened its address on 13 October 2026, it sent us instead to a page about printing invoices, which does not mention statement names either.1 So at the time of writing, Constant Contact has no page that tells a cardholder what CCI* means.

The switch shows on the same accounts at the same amounts. Each office below paid on its own day of the month:5

CCI* is not only Constant Contact. From 2015 to 2024 the same four letters started hotel bookings made through Getaroom, such as CCI*HOTEL RES; the last of those in the Delaware data is dated 6 August 2024, a year before Constant Contact’s first. If your line says HOTEL or RESERVATION, see the CCI*HOTEL RES page. EIG* is not only Constant Contact either: in the same data it also starts EIG*BLUEHOST.COM, EIG*HOSTGATOR.COM, EIG*FATCOW and EIG*NETFIRMS, 36 lines from 2014 to 2022.5

Why the amount went up

Constant Contact’s terms say it may change its fees "at any time effectively immediately" by posting new prices on its website or in the account, or by email.4 In the Delaware data, offices with nothing to do with each other saw their monthly amount rise in the same months:5

The same monthly charge, raised in the same months, Delaware card data
Who paid June 2023 July 2023 September 2024 June 2025 June 2026
Lieutenant Governor $118.75 $137.75 $149.15 $166.25 $195.70
State House of Representatives $280.25 $325.85 $352.45 $394.25 $497.80
Delaware Economic Development $225 $261 $282 $315 $732
Office of the Governor $985 $1,144 $1,235 $1,508 $1,749

Each figure is that month’s charge; in between, the amount stayed the same unless noted here. Counting a rise of under a quarter from one month to the next on the same billing day, the monthly amount rose on eleven Delaware accounts in July 2023, six in September 2024, six in June 2025 and at least three in June 2026; since 2015, in no other month did it rise on more than one.5 Some accounts also rose in other months: the Governor’s office from $1,235 to $1,346 in February 2025, the House from $394.25 to $444.60 in July 2025, and Economic Development from $315 to $573 in October 2025 and to $597 in May 2026. The data does not say whether those were price changes or more contacts.

The bill can also go up without a price change. Constant Contact bills by plan and "contact tier", and the tier is set by "the highest number of active contacts you’ve had in your account"; deleting contacts "does not lower the contact tier". Going over the monthly email allowance adds an overage fee, and an account is charged even in a month when nothing is sent.3

Why a charge can come after you cancel

A free trial with no card on file ends by itself and does not need cancelling. If a card was given at sign-up, the trial ends when the paid plan starts.24

What the terms say about refunds

The Terms of Service, last updated 4 September 2026, say that on cancelling "we will not provide any refunds of prepaid fees or unused subscription fees", and that when an account ends "we will not provide any refunds for any fees, subscriptions, or prepaid amounts".4 The cancellation page repeats it: "Prepayments are non-refundable, even if you choose to cancel before the end of your billing term."2

The terms also set a deadline: disputes about a charge "must be submitted to us in writing within sixty (60) days of the date such charges are incurred", and the account holder agrees "to waive all disputes not brought within the sixty (60) day period".4 For a charge made twice for the same billing cycle, Constant Contact says to call Billing Support.3

In the Delaware data, 15 of the 1,452 lines are credits. Twelve of them match a charge of the same amount to the same office, and came back between the same day and 15 days later.5

How to find it and stop it

  1. Find the account Search your email, including spam, for "Constant Contact" and the amount. Invoices are in the account under Billing, View statements, and can be emailed to any address from there.1 If the card is a work, school or club card, ask whoever sends the newsletter.
  2. Stop the charges Call Billing Support: 855-229-5506 in the US and Canada, 0808 234 0945 in the UK, +1 781-472-8120 from elsewhere. Have the account’s username ready. Constant Contact says a confirmation email goes to the account’s main address within 24 hours; keep it.2 The terms also allow "cancelling through your account".4
  3. Ask for the money back, in writing If you think a charge is wrong, put it in writing to Constant Contact within 60 days of the charge; its terms treat later disputes as waived.4 Write down the date, the amount and the name of the person you spoke to.
  4. If nobody you know has the account, go to your bank Ask your bank to dispute the charge and ask what its deadline is. It depends on the bank, the card network and the reason, and missing it can end your options. Ask for a new card number too, but know that this alone may not stop the charges.4

Is this a scam?

The names are real: Delaware’s card data alone has more than 1,400 ordinary Constant Contact charges under them, and the phone number on the line is Constant Contact’s own billing number.25 That does not make every such charge wanted. Constant Contact is a service businesses and groups use to send email, so a charge to a personal card that nobody in your household, work or club set up is someone else’s purchase on your card. Take it to your bank.

Why this page is on a site about held money

This site records payment companies that hold back money that belongs to someone else. Constant Contact is not in the incident record; this page is here so that people searching for a name on a statement find the answer. Other email and business tools that bill by themselves are MAILCHIMP *MISC, SMK*SURVEYMONKEY, DNH*GODADDY, CANVA* and STAMPS.COM, whose monthly fee and postage purchases show up as two different lines. Other lines are in the table of statement names.
