A charge from DISNEY PLUS 888-9057888 CA on your statement

DISNEY PLUS 888-9057888 CA, DISNEY PLUS and DISNEYPLUS are charges for a Disney+ subscription billed by Disney itself. The number in the name is Disney+’s customer support line, 888-905-7888.6 A monthly plan comes back on the same day each month, an annual plan on the same day each year.9

The short answer

Sign in at DisneyPlus.com in a web browser with every email address in your household, open Account and choose Billing History: it shows the last two years of charges and refunds.1 To stop it, choose Cancel Subscription on the same page before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time the day before the term ends.37 If no account shows the charge, tell your bank.

What it looks like on a real statement

A school district in Woodland, Washington publishes its purchasing card statements. The December 2023 statement has this line, bought on 29 November 2023 and posted the next day:8

DISNEY PLUS 888-9057888 CA   151.19

The phone number is printed without its second hyphen. $151.19 is $139.99, the annual price at the time,12 plus exactly 8%. Disney+ lists “applicable taxes” on each invoice in Billing History, so an amount a few percent over the list price can be the price plus tax.1

The State of Delaware publishes every purchase its employees make on state cards, with a shorter merchant name. When we counted on 10 October 2026, Disney+ made 50 lines from six public bodies, from March 2020 to August 2026.9

Disney+ lines in Delaware’s card data, 2020–2026
What the record said Lines When
DISNEY PLUS 42 March 2022 to August 2026: renewals
DISNEYPLUS 7 March 2020 to July 2025: first charges, a 2021 renewal and one refund
PAYPAL *DISNEY PLUS 1 February 2024, $14.83: Disney+ paid through PayPal

The first charge and the renewals can carry different names

In four of the five Delaware accounts that Disney billed directly, the first charge in the data reads DISNEYPLUS, with no space, and every renewal from 2022 on reads DISNEY PLUS. A charter school paid DISNEYPLUS on 4 October 2021 and DISNEY PLUS on 4 October each year after; a school district paid DISNEYPLUS on 29 July 2025 and DISNEY PLUS on 28 July 2026. The fifth account has one line, DISNEY PLUS, $9.99 in June 2024.9 If your bank shows both names, they can be the same subscription.

Why the annual amount keeps going up

Lake Forest School District has renewed one annual Disney+ plan on 2 March since 2020. Each year’s charge matches the annual price Disney had set the autumn before:

One annual Disney+ plan, Lake Forest School District, 2020–2026
Charged Name on the record Amount The annual price then
2 March 2020 DISNEYPLUS $69.99 $69.99, the price from launch in November 201910
2 March 2021 DISNEYPLUS $69.99 $69.99; $79.99 from 26 March 202110
2 March 2022 DISNEY PLUS $79.99 $79.99
2 March 2023 DISNEY PLUS $109.99 $109.99 for the no-ads plan from 8 December 202211
2 March 2024 DISNEY PLUS $139.99 $139.99 from 12 October 202312
2 March 2025 DISNEY PLUS $159.99 About $160 from 17 October 202413
2 March 2026 DISNEY PLUS $189.99 $189.99 from 21 October 202515

A plan that renews just before a price change keeps the old price for one more year. The charter school’s annual plan renewed on 4 October 2023 at $109.99, eight days before the $139.99 price, and on 4 October 2024 at $139.99, thirteen days before the next one.91213 Disney’s terms say a subscription renews “at the price in effect at the time of the renewal” and that Disney will try to email you before a price change.7

A monthly line moves the same way. Delaware’s children’s services department has paid Disney+ on the 8th of each month since December 2023: $9.99, then $10.99 from November 2024, then $12.99 from November 2025.9 The data does not name the plan. Those are the amounts of the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads: $9.99 rising to $10.99 on 17 October 2024,14 and $12.99 on Disney’s price page today.4

The next change is dated. Disney+’s price page lists new prices for sign-ups from 23 September 2026, and says anyone who signed up before then “will see a price change in your billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026.” The annual no-ads plan is listed at $214.99.4

Two charges, a refund, or a charge after canceling

Two charges on one day. On 8 December 2023 the same Delaware department was charged $9.99 and $139.99 by DISNEYPLUS; the $139.99 came back as a refund three days later, on 11 December, and the $9.99 carried on monthly.9 Disney’s own reasons for an amount you did not expect are a plan change (with a prorated charge if you moved to a higher plan), the end of a promotion, more than one subscription, and a price increase.2

A small pending amount. When you add a card, Disney may place an authorization hold to check it. Its terms say it does not charge you for that hold, but your available balance can drop while it is there.7

After canceling. Canceling does not end the plan at once: you keep access, and the plan stays paid, to the end of the current term. Until then, the account page offers Restart Subscription.3 An annual plan canceled early is not refunded for the months left.7

Will Disney+ give the money back?

Not by default. The subscriber agreement says: “we do not refund or credit for partially used subscription terms and/or billing periods”, though Disney may “on a case-by-case basis in our sole and absolute discretion.”7 An approved refund usually reaches the original card in 7 to 10 business days and shows in Billing History.1 In Delaware’s 50 lines there is one refund, three days after the charge.9

How to find it and stop it

  1. Find the account Sign in at DisneyPlus.com in a web browser (the app does not show it), open Account, and under Subscription choose Billing History.1 Try every email address in the household.
  2. Check who bills it If Billing History is empty, a partner may bill you instead: Disney names Amazon, Apple, Google, Hulu, Kroger, HBO Max, Roku, Spectrum, Total Wireless, Verizon and Xfinity. That company has the record and the cancel button.5 Bought in an app store, it shows up as APPLE.COM/BILL or GOOGLE *.
  3. Cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern the day before On the Account page, select the Disney+ subscription and choose Cancel Subscription.3 The terms say you must cancel by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before the term ends to avoid the next charge.7 Disney support answers by phone at 888-905-7888 with your name and account email.6
  4. If it is not your account, go to your bank Ask your bank to dispute the charge and ask what its deadline is. It depends on the bank, the card network and the reason.

Is this a scam?

The names are real: a Washington school district and six Delaware public bodies paid them.89 The phone number on the line is the one Disney+ lists on its own Help Center.6 A real name does not make every charge yours. Start from your Disney+ Account page or the Help Center, not from a different phone number found by searching the name. If no account you can sign in to shows the charge, treat it as one you did not make.

Why this page is on a site about held money

This site records payment companies that hold back money that belongs to someone else. Disney+ is not in the incident record; the closest part of this page is the no-refund term. Hulu, which shares Disney’s subscriber agreement, has its own page: HLU*HULUPLUS. Other streaming lines are NETFLIX.COM, Prime Video, covered on the AMAZON PRIME* page, and YouTube TV under GOOGLE *; paid through PayPal it shows up as PAYPAL *. Other lines are in the table of statement names.
